Magnifica Humanitas, Daily Gospel & Bible Diary – Get Your Copy

Three new publications are now available at St Ignatius Church Office during office hours to enhance your knowledge and faith. These books also serve as meaningful gifts including during the upcoming Christmas season. Parishioners will receive a copy each of the following with donation amounts indicated:

      • Magnifica Humanitas – RM10.
      • 2027 Daily Gospel (soft cover, small) – RM17.
      • 2027 Bible Diary (hard cover, A5 size) – RM28.

Magnifica Humanitas is the title of Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical letter, with the theme Safeguarding Humanity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. As artificial intelligence rises in an age when human civilization, human dignity, and the structure of the social workforce are undergoing an evolution comparable to the Industrial Revolution, the Pope invites the faithful to make good and responsible use of new technologies in the light of the Gospel, and to embark upon the “simple, humble, yet demanding journey of Christian life.” May everyone, even in the age of artificial intelligence, bear witness to “the beauty of the great humanity in which God dwells.”

The Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur joyfully announces the forthcoming ordination to the Order of Deacon. Following the recommendation of seminary formators and consultation with the College of Consultors, His Most Reverend Archbishop Julian Leow intends to call four candidates to diaconal ministry:

  • Bro Lincoln Lee Keng Chuan (Church of the Assumption, Petaling Jaya).
  • Bro Joseph Tan Yee Ping (Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Jalan Peel).
  • Bro Tony Bingkuan, OFM Cap. (Church of St Michael, Penampang, Sabah).
  • Bro Albert Arputhan a/l Maniam (Church of St Anne, Port Klang).

Venue: Church of the Divine Mercy, Shah Alam, Selangor.

In accordance with Canon 1051 §2, this serves as official notice regarding the candidates’ readiness for Holy Orders. Anyone aware of any canonical impediment or serious reason concerning their suitability is bound, under Canon 1043, to inform their parish priest, the Archbishop, or the Chancery (chancery@archkl.org) without delay.
