A Synodal Council for Pastoral Coordination and Implementation.
ROLE AND FUNCTION
Like most parishes in the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur, the Parish Coordinating Council (PCC) is one of the parish councils alongside the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and the Parish Finance Committee (PFC).
In fulfilling its role, the PCC:
- Coordinates and implements parish programmes and ministries through its elected members, in line with the parish’s pastoral plans and mission.
- Fosters collaboration and communication among ministries and parish groups to promote unity and avoid duplication.
- Seeks consensus through prayerful discernment to develop and implement collaborative pastoral plans.
- Carries out pastoral priorities of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) through practical actions and coordinated ministry, supporting the parish’s day-to-day pastoral and operational life.
- Works with the Parish Finance Committee (PFC) to ensure activities are responsibly managed within approved budgets and policies.
- Promotes a synodal and collaborative spirit, encouraging shared responsibility and active participation among clergy, religious, and laity.
MEMBERS
The PCC is led by the Parish Priest(s) and an elected Chairperson, assisted by a Vice Chairperson and Secretary(s). Its members include ministry coordinators, language group representatives, and others co-opted by the Parish Priest. The Chairperson also serves ex officio on the Parish Pastoral Council.

TERM OF OFFICE / MEMBERSHIP
PCC members serve a two-year term, renewable once, aligned with their roles as heads of ministries or groups. Each term starts with the liturgical year following their election or appointment.
FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS
The Parish Coordinating Council meets monthly, usually on the fourth Thursday.
